How This Stay At Home Mom Was Able To Quit Her Job For Her MLM Business

Wouldn't we all love to say we were able to quit our jobs and go full time in our network marketing business?

HECK YEAH, RIGHT?

Well let me first start off by saying we totally dropped the ball on this one and did it the WRONG WAY when my husband and I first got started in 1997. We were in our company for about 2-3 years and we both decided to go ALL IN in our company and BOY I wouldn't wish those struggles to my worst enemy. And of course the naysayers showed up with the "I told you so's" and we regretted every minute of it and ended up actually leaving that company because our financial stresses were just too great.

If I could talk to my younger self I'd YELL "DON'T DO IT" wait!!!!!

So let's talk about what did work for me and how I did it the RIGHT WAY!

Ok so what was going on for me is that I was working a full time job, married mother of 3 children children and as we spoke yesterday about how I scheduled around my family, if you missed that post just CLICK HERE so I won't go back into that one BUT I actually walked off my job when I was making a hundred dollars less at my full time job. I know what a difference BUT I didn't want to take a chance and quit too early as many network marketers knew and I knew if I was only a hundred off of what I was making full-time that if I was able to put more time into my business I could easily go past that amount.

One thing I think most network marketers do is they have a couple of successful months in their business and they think that money will keep coming in the same way throughout the year so if they could put more hours into their business they'll be able to keep making the money. Well let tell you from experience, IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN that way!!!

You are going to have times when you're not going to be paid at all for long periods of time and if you have children like I did that will be the hardest times of your life so why put everyone under unnecessary stress. I've heard other top income earners say that you should set aside at least 6 months of income now that's not to say quit after you have that much saved up, I mean when you're at the point where you are about to replace your income, have that amount set aside.

I hope my experience helps you when making your decision to quit your day job because I wish I would of read something like this when I was ready to quit!!

Did these tips help you? If so feel free to comment and share this post with your team!

  3. It must be hard to say goodbye to a career that you clearly loved, but I'm so happy for you as this is clearly the right decision for you. I think you're right that parenthood is a lot about sacrifice. I don't think that we have to give up all of ourselves, though - I know I'm a better Mama when I've had some time to myself to work doing the job I love and I'm so grateful that I get to work from home and be flexible around the Little People's routines and needs.
